Ed Putnam has a heart for helping others grow spiritually, emotionally and mentally, to live fuller and more enriching lives.
Ed owns and operates Christian Counseling Services, and has done so since 1998. His main office is in Holdrege, NE, and extension offices are in McCook & Franklin, NE. Ed's heart is to serve those in need, bringing them hope and restoration through sharing God's healing power, forgiveness, and grace, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Ed received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Counseling Ministries from Ottawa University, Ottawa, KS in 1978, and earned his Masters Degree in Community Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA in 1993. He received his license from Nebraska in 1996. He also received a certification in Domestic Violence Counseling and Training from Duluth MN. in 1995. He is available to speak at conferences and workshops on the profile of a batterer and on domestic violence.
Ed is part of NewLife Live Network of counselors. His specialties include working with troubled couples with relational problems; men's issues inc. domestic violence/anger management; sexual addiction issues & others; children, teens and parents of children with ADHD and other behavioral issues; and individuals with spiritual issues. Ed's true God-given strength is his ability to discern what the core issue is, and bring it to light, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He has been told from clients that he knows just what to say and when to say it, having a great insight into their soul. Thus, Ed helps restore and bring spiritual, emotional, and mental wholeness into a person's life.
Sue Christensen joined the office in the fall of 2008, bringing with her a wealth of life experiences and education, with her M.S. Degree in Community Counseling from UNK and is a provisionally licensed therapist. She assists individuals of all ages and couples toward finding resolution & improvement in their interpersonal relationships and individual issues. Her years of personal experience and gift of encouragement and insight make her especially qualified to work with young people who are considered "at risk". Sue's non-judgemental, gentle approach is successful in demonstrating the benefits of applying Scriptural truths to life's problems.
